Semantix's history stretches back over 40 years. Over the years we have developed our services and expertise in order to be able to offer a wide - and deep - range of services.
During the 1980s, the language services industry began to consolidate, with smaller translation agencies merging. This was the beginning of the modern Semantix. Each and every one of the agencies that went together to form our company, contributed with their own special expertise, such as in the areas of law, medicine, or technology. Even the Department of Immigration's language section formed a part of this group, then under the name Eqvator. Today, our organization contains the expertise and experience from several well-known, smaller brands, such as ITS, Languageland, and Explicon, for example.
Our combined experience guarantees continued depth and expertise in each specific area and language. Today, when globalization is a fact and the Internet is taken for granted, the industry has continued to grow and develop. Semantix has its headquarters in Stockholm. In addition, we are found in several other locations in Sweden, Finland and Norway. Our offices are centrally located, because it is important to us that you, our clients, can visit us easily.
