Korean

Korean is the language spoken in North Korea and South Korea. The language is characterized by many vowel sounds, including some corresponding to the Swedish u, å, ä and ö. There is some debate as to whether Korean is an isolated language or a part of the Altaic language family. Most speech in North and South Korea consists of various dialects of Korean, but for the most part these are mutually intelligible.

Prior to translation and interpretation

Before ordering a translation or interpreter, it is a good idea to know which country the translated material will be used in and which country the person to be interpreted comes from. This is particularly important for translations into languages which are spoken in many different countries, since the same language may be written differently and in some cases with different alphabets.
