Lithuanian

Lithuanian is one of the two surviving Baltic languages (the other being Latvian), which form a special subgroup within the Indo-European languages. Lithuanian is considered one of the most unchanged Indo-European languages spoken today, and is roughly as old as Sanskrit. Its closest relations are the Slavic and Germanic language families.

Prior to translation and interpretation

Before ordering a translation or interpreter, it is a good idea to know which country the translated material will be used in and which country the person to be interpreted comes from. This is particularly important for translations into languages which are spoken in many different countries, since the same language may be written differently and in some cases with different alphabets.
