Market leading tools

In most every project, our translators are aided by translation tools. We work primarily with Trados products but can also, upon request, use other similar tools such as Déjà Vu, Catalyst and Transit.

Translation memory

Every sentence that a translator produces is stored together with the source code in a database, which is called a translation memory. This helps ensure that the language used in the text is consistent, since the tool matches every new sentence against previously stored translations.

These databases are client specific and, naturally, are handled in accordance with the same security routines as all other material.

Term databases

In order to further ensure the quality of the translations, we also use term databases. We can easily connect the term databases to the translation tools, which allows us to see immediately if a word in the document is found in the term databases.

Using the term databases allows us to produce more consistent translations in an easier manner, reduce the numbers of questions from our translators, and to produce work more rapidly and with a higher level of quality.
