Bantu languages

The Bantu languages form a subgroup of the Niger-Congo language family, which comprises around 500 languages. The Bantu language groups includes such languages as Swahili and Zulu.

Bantu languages are spoken in Angola, Botswana, Gabon, Cameroon, Kenya, Congo-Brazzaville, Congo-Kinshasa, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. This makes this language family one of the most widespread in Africa, and it is estimated to have some 60 million speakers.
