Cantonese

Cantonese is a spoken dialect of Chinese and is spoken in southern China, in the regions surrounding Canton, and in Hong Kong.

Cantonese is part of the Yue Chinese language group. Just like its relative, Mandarin, Cantonese is a tonal language, but on an even larger scale. There are nine different tones, but Mandarin uses only four.
