Translation Tools, or CAT tools, is the generic term for computer programs that semi-automate and facilitate the translation of a text from one language to another.

Translation tools are used today both within companies and by professional translators. There are three main types of CAT tools: terminology management tools, completely automated CAT tools, and translation memory tools.
