Weighted word count

The number of words in a text taking into account how much of the text can be reused from previous translations.

We analyze the text to be translated using a Computer-Aided Translation (CAT) tool. If a similar text has been translated previously, or if the text contains internal repetitions, these can be reused in the new translation. If the weighted word count is high in relation to the total number of words, only a small amount of the text can be reused and vice versa.
