Be it between individuals or within organisations, in an ever-increasingly globalised world and marketplace, culture matters. And a lack of cultural awareness really matters.

What is learnt and confirmed every day of our lives until we first set foot in the workplace runs deep – and beyond. The underlying human factor in all international communication involves differing national styles and processes, behaviour, manners, and relative values – all very differing perceptions of what is ‘normal’ and ‘the best way’.

All too frequently the resultant communication gaps, stereotyping and simple misunderstandings lead to frustrations, resentments, delays – and, at the very least, a professionally damaging loss of respect and goodwill.

In this short, enjoyable and ‘no-nonsense’ introductory seminar, we will give both opportunity and tools to examine and question perspectives from both sides of the cultural divide – how we see ourselves and ‘them’, and how they see themselves and ‘us’ – and why.
